Papa Recipe Bombee Honey Mask

The brand:

Papa recipe is a Korean skincare company that has products that are great for all ages.

Claims:

It's made with all natural ingredients to nourish, rejuvinate, and hydrate your skin. It leaves your skin glowing, and that it's great for dry skin.

Star Ingredients:
Honey: The thick sticky texture is great moisturizing skin because it is a humectant. Gives the skin a glow from within, and its antibacterial properties speed up skin healing. Bye bye acne and bacteria! It's also an antioxidant. Yey, protection from free radicals! This mask has 1,000 ppm honey extract.

Propolis: this also called "bee glue" or "bee penicillin"; the bees collect resinous materials, chew it, mix their beeswax and enzymes to make this glue called propolis. The propolis is used to help protect the bee's hive by sealing, waterproofing and disinfecting it. This is the same for our skin; our skin is the hive and we are the bee. We are putting propolis on to protect our hive. Sounds kind of dirty.

Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate - LICORICE - for smoothing and brightening, works for all skin types

The Mask:

The mask is made of thin organic pulp (source: wishtrend). The sheet itself was a bit thinner than most masks, and there is also a white plastic film, which makes it easier to peel the mask apart. The shape of the mask is a bit small, and wide. It fits great vertically, my forehead and chin are sufficiently covered. The side parts are wide, and has a bit of excess mask horizontally. As for the holes, where the eyes and mouths should go, well...they were a bit awkward. Then again, that may be my fault, for putting the mask at a weird angle, and played with it while it on my face. Hehe.

The Essence:

First thing I want to mention is that the essence has fragrance. It smells good. The scent is like a much lighter version Skinfood's Black Sugar Honey Wash Off Mask, sweet like honey. There is 25g of essence in the pack, so there is a lot. The mask is completely soaked and slightly dripping with it. I also want to say that the essence, really feels and looks like an essence. So, there is enough to use the essence with a fresh and clean sheet mask. Did I mention that I find the scent relaxing? Yup. I could fall asleep in the mask.

My thoughts:

It feels VERY nice on my skin! It is sticky, and it's also a bit after it dries on the skin, but it's not so bad because minutes after the essence dries, and I pat the essence into my skin, the slight tackiness is gone. I don't mind the feeling because I love anything honey. I kept it on my face for about 40 minutes. Once the mask is taken off, prepare yourself to be amazed! Because I was. It was like my skin was glowing from within. The next day, my skin's little patch of pimples were MUCH smaller, and has no redness. My skin also felt sooooo saaaawwwffft. The kind of soft where I could not stop touching my face, with clean hands of course. In my mind, I was thinking, "OMG! My skin is so plump, and soft. Propolis ohohoo...Honey ohohoo! This Papa Recipe Bombee Honey Mask is THE BOMB, EEE!" Ok, too corny? I know. LoL! I really was squeeling a little, though. I mean, hello glowing skin, who would not want that healthy looking glow, right?

I had also used this the night we came home from a company boat party, because I was out in the sun for so long, and the a/c on the boat was non-existent. It was horrible. My skin felt parched, inflamed, and stressed. Instead of a soothing or relaxing type of sheet mask, I chose this, and I chose correct. My skin after taking off the mask felt ultimately better, less redness and the smell of honey helped me relax. We were up pretty late, so my eye had bags, but my skin was great. Uhg, this is just..I need more.

So, verdict: I LOVE THIS SHEET MASK. I can't wait to try other masks, and products from the Papa Recipe Brand.
