Sheet masks... What are they?

Sheet masks have become so popular in the past few years, so you may have seen them on the internet through social media, where sheet mask selfies has become a trend. Celebrities, like Lady Gaga (I love her~!), make me want to post selfies with a wet sheet over my face, too.

So, there was an article somewhere, that told me that sheet masks are one-size fits all deal. Nope. It doesn't, really. Thousands, (maybe even millions?) of women who obsess and collect them, like me, will tell you that they are not one-size fits all. It depends on which brand, or its function. Some brands like to make them too wide, or too long. They come in different shapes, too, like in one or two pieces. A typical sheet mask is typically a cotton, or fiber, sheet made to look like and fit on your face.

You have other facial masks, which I also love, too. Of course, these masks have different names. You've got the under eye masks, U-zone mask, neck masks, masks just for your T-zone, lip masks, hydrogel masks (LOVE), point masks, etc. I love Asian masks!

These masks are saturated with many yummy skin goodies. Each sachet, packet, pack, which ever you want to call them are filled with serums or essences that either moisturize, nourish, brighten, or helps with breakouts. All sheet masks give the skin a boost in hydration, which is great because my skin needs that little push.

Basically, you just wear these over your face. Two horizontal holes, which are obviously for the eyes, another horizontal hole near the bottom for the mouth, and one hole with a flap for your nose. The rest of the mask sticks to your face, hopefully. Just gotta wait a while. after you take it off, for the serum or essence to work. Have patience young padawan.

Well, ok. You don't have to wait too long. Unlike actual serums, ampoules, and essences, sheet masks are suppose to give a "shot" of the good stuff, which means it works faster. I usually wear sheet masks at night, before sleeping. In the morning, huuuuu boiiii, I look and feel like Jessica Alba. *ahem* Hi, Jessica. (As if she'd ever see this lol)

Some sheet masks are sold in single pieces, variety packs, and of course, they all have box sets.

I hope I was able to give a little bit of insight about sheet masks.
Thanks for reading!
