Blossom Jeju - Red Camellia Soombi

Blossom Jeju - Red Camellia Soombi 2 Step Deep Nourishing Petal Mask review

Blossom Jeju - Red Camellia Soombi 2 Step Deep Nourishing Petal Mask
[YMMV]

Hello Everyone. It's been a long while, but I'm back with another recent mask review:
Here’s another of my fave brands that help make skin look younger and healthy, Blossom Jeju.
Today I used the Deep Nourishing “Flavor”, which is one if my favorite masks. Although, I must admit, I love all three of Blossom Jeju’s masks.

First, what is Blossom Jeju?
Blossom Jeju is a Korean Skincare Brand created and built by Sungna Kim. Jeju is the largest island off the coast of South Korea. The word Blossom in Blossom Jeju is pertaining to the beautiful plants that bloom on the island; mostly about the Camellia, though (I think).

Why Blossom Jeju?
According to her website, Sungna Kim mission statement says,

"We believe skincare doesn't need to be complicated.
Our products are created from simple and unique blends of the purest natural plant oils and botanical extracts working in perfect harmony
to restore and maintain the natural vitality and radiance of skin."

STEP ONE - THE FACE OIL:
The face oil, is truly hydrating and a light oil that absorbs into the skin. It didn’t clog my pores, so no acne breakouts. #yey!

STEP TWO - THE SHEET MASK:
This mask is thin, sheer, and soft like a petal, but absorbed a lot of the essence in the mask pack. It lived up to it's claim, “ultra thin silky fiber sheet from cotton seed” (printed on mask pack) It covered my entire face, and although there was a ton of essence on the mask, it didn't slide down or drip. I had it on for 25-30 minutes and it was still “juicy” with essence.

This mask is free of parabens and synthetic dyes, btw, so for those who detest parabens and all that jazz, this is a great mask to try.

Who can use this mask?
Everyone, but it’s even better for those who are seeking to #rehydrate and being back the #glow and hydration to their skin, as what a really good nourishing mask should do. Why? Well, because of the ingredients.

Here are a few ingredients that really stand out to me:

Camellia Seed Oil - a rich source of Omega-6 Linoleic Fatty Acids, which fights inflammation (acne, eczema), great for dry-super dry skin, & anti-aging polyphenol antioxidants. It is non-greasy, too.
Panthenol- or provitamin B5, great for hydration
Betain - helps skin retain moisture, and is an anti-irritant
Sage leaf Extract - fights free radicals, which protects us from bacteria. It’s a natural anti-inflammatory agent, and is rich in antioxidants and antiseptic qualities.
Lavender extract - a gentle cleansing agent, helps oily and dehydrated skin

Here is the entire ingredients list for step two:
Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, 1-2 Hexanediol, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Panthenol, Betaine, Trehalose, Sage Leaf Extract, Lavender Flower Extract, Rosemary Extract, Matricaria Flower Extract, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Extract, Opuntia Ficus-Indica Extract, Licorice Root Extract, Matricaria Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Beta-Glucan, Pea Extract, Soybean Seed Extract, Malus Domestica Fruit Extract, Rosemary Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Blueberry Fruit Extract, Rose Canina Fruit Extract, Broccoli Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Carbomer, Allantoin, Polysorbate 80, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Triethanolamine, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fragrance

Step one only has Camellia Seed Oil -- an emollient. For details for what it does, please scroll up to the

Fragrance:

Don’t be afraid of the fragrance, by the way, it’s not overpowering, nor does it have that alcohol smell that hurts my nose. Although, if your skin gets irritated, acne breakouts, or has an allergic reaction to products with fragrance, use a small amount of the essence on a section of your face first. The other option would be to avoid this product. Better safe, than sorry, IMO.

Packaging:

Reminds me of a petal. Right? Like a Camellia Petal. It's very chic, pretty, and it's easy to open. Using scissors will not cut the mask, too. The cone shape of step 2 helps pool the essence to the bottom, and the slanted sides make it easier to pour the left over essence onto my hand.

SOOO, my thoughts
:
I love this #mask. I love it because of the two steps. Step one hydrates, and step two amps up the hydration even further. Good skin hydration, IMHP, is a great way to get healthy glowing skin. Having Two Steps also makes this great for travel. it helps perk up my skin after a long day of traveling (like on a 12 hr plane ride). It gives me nice, subtle glow and great hydration. No #acne breakouts and any irritated #skin.
